Aurora
Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, from Stavanger) is an Norwegian musician and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews from bloggers as well as the press. Half the World Away - by the Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two covers worth noting that the singer has created. Her name was also recognized from a post by Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano that was in her basement and being fascinated at the sound it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to do music just to have fun or to aid in development but instead, she was encouraged to explore it. For this reason she started writing her own new compositions. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her favourite songwriters. She began performing the songs she wrote publicly after her mother suggested that they might help others not gain acclaim for her music, but rather to help the people around them understand the importance of their work and how they could impact the world. Her mother suggested that she sing her songs in public to help people realize their importance and the ways they can affect the world. Her family didn't be aware of this until she reached the age of 14. Aurora was not a goal. Aurora is simply a writer who loves writing songs. For her, the music she writes is her way of feeling any thing.
